Description

Description

Invitrogen RNAsecure™ Resuspension Solution (patents pending) is a unique non-enzymatic reagent that will irreversibly inactivate RNases in solution. It is supplied at working concentration for direct resuspension of RNA pellets. Ten tubes containing 1mL each are provided. RNAsecure™ Resuspension Solution is specifically meant for resuspending RNA pellets that may contain trace amounts of ribonuclease (e.g., after total RNA isolation). Note: it cannot reverse RNA degradation that has already occurred, but can prevent further RNA degradation. To use, the RNA pellet is resuspended in the RNAsecure Resuspension Solution and heated to 60°C for 10 minutes It can be reheated to eliminate any RNase contamination introduced at a later time.

  • No post-treatment autoclaving
  • Safe, easy-to-use reagent inactivates RNases in solution
  • Inactivation process can be repeated to protect against newly introduced contaminants
  • Compatible with downstream procedures, such as RT-PCR and in vitro transcription
