Description

Cytoprotectant against chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Amifostine is a cytoprotectant against chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Reduces mitochondrial pyruvate use in hepatocytes but not hepatoma cells in vitro. Also inhibits angiogenesis.
