Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

PA1-27972 detects Nociceptin from rat, non-human primate samples. PA1-27972 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (frozen tissue) applications. The PA1-27972 immunogen is: Synthetic peptide: FGGFTGARKSARKLANQ, corresponding to amino acids 122-138 of Rat Orphanin FQ. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Nociceptin is the ligand of the opioid receptor-like receptor (OPRL1). It may act as a transmitter in the brain by modulating nociceptive and locomotor behavior. May be involved in neuronal differentiation and development.
