AmpliTaq DNA Polymerase is a 94 kDa, thermostable, recombinant DNA polymerase obtained by expression of a modified form of the Thermus aquaticus (Taq) DNA polymerase gene in E. coli. Reliable and robust PCR
The thermal activity profile of AmpliTaq DNA Polymerase is reliable for PCR applications because its optimal activity is in the same range at which stringent annealing of primers occurs (55–75°C). The enzyme's half-life is ∼40 minutes at 95°C, providing thermostability that meets the requirements of most difficult PCR applications.
