Description

The cAMP Hunter™ eXpress CHRM2 CHO-K1 GPCR Assay measures CHRM2 (GPCR) activity via decreased levels of intracellular cAMP. eXpress kits contain all assay materials: cells, reagents, and plates.

The cAMP Hunter™ CHRM2 eXpress kit provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to study drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting GPCRs. This kit assesses ligand (e.g. oxotremorine) based activation of CHRM2 GPCR activity via detection of decreasing levels of intracellular cAMP. This product uses EFC technology. The cells overexpress wildtype CHRM2 , a naturally Gi/Go coupled GPCR. Upon activation of CHRM2 , the decrease in levels of intracellular cAMP leads to a decreased signal from EFC when the cAMP detection kit is applied. eXpress kits are a convenient, ready-to-use format which contains all materials needed to run the assay, including single-use vials of cryopreserved cells, cell plating media, detection reagent, and assay plates.
