Invitrogen™ CD96 (TACTILE) Monoclonal Antibody (6A6), Functional Grade, eBioscience™

Rat Monoclonal Antibody
Brand: Invitrogen™ 16-0960-82
Description
Description: This 6A6 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD96, a cell adhesion receptor also known as TACTILE. A member of the Ig superfamily, CD96 is a single pass transmembrane protein consisting of three extracellular Ig-like domains and a proline/serine/threonine rich region. CD96 is expressed on resident monocytes and T cells at all developmental stages (including gammadelta T cells, thymocytes, and NK cells). In the mouse, this receptor is not expressed on B cells. Unlike in humans, mouse CD96 does not exist as alternative splice variants. Reports indicate that CD96 binds CD155/poliovirus receptor and Nectin-1 to mediate NK cell adhesion to target cells and cytotoxicity. This monoclonal antibody has been reported to block CD96 interaction with CD155 and Nectin-1. Applications Reported: This 6A6 antibody has been reported for use in functional assays. Applications Tested: This 6A6 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.5 μg per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Storage and handling: Use in a sterile environment. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by S...
