Invitrogen™ Citrulline Monoclonal Antibody (2D3.1)

Description
A 1:1,000 dilution of MA5-27573 was sufficient for detection of Citrulline in 2 μg of Citrulline conjugated to BSA by ECL immunoblot analysis using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary Antibody. Specific for citrulline residues on modified proteins. Tested using citrulline conjugated Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA).
Citrulline is an amino acid that is not incorporated into proteins during synthesis but is generated within proteins by the deimination of arginine. Citrulline occurs normally in many proteins, such as Myelin basic protein (MBP) while others, such as fibrin become citrullinated during inflammation or apoptosis.
