Collagen IV is a major component of basement membranes, which underlies epithelial and endothelial cells and surrounds muscle, fat and nerve cells. It can be used as a thin coating on tissue culture surfaces to promote cell attachment and proliferation and to study its effects on cell behavior.

  • Used as a substrate for cell culture adhesion
  • The recommended working concentration is 1-10 μg/cm2 (1-10 μg/mL) of growth surface depending on cell type
  • Supplied as 2 vials each containing 0.5 mg of protein
  • Source: Murine Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm (EHS) tumor
  • Storage Buffer: 50 mM Hydrochloric Acid, 1.0 mM TCEP
  • Product is stable for 3 months from date of shipment when stored at ≤ -70 °C
