Description
This antibody detected 60-70 kDa fully glycosylated, matured GLUT2 and a nonglycosylated form of GLUT2 around 38-45 kDa.
Glucose transporter 2 isoform is an integral plasma membrane glycoprotein of the liver, islet beta cells, intestine, and kidney epithelium. It mediates facilitated bidirectional glucose transport. Because of its low affinity for glucose, it has been suggested as a glucose sensor. Mutations in the gene that encode this protein cause Fanconi-Bickel syndrome.Specifications
