Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (78%), Rat (78%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-59788 (PA5-59788. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
C15orf27 is a voltage-sensor protein present on the post-synaptic side of glutamatergic mossy fibers and granule cells in the cerebellum. Despite the presence of a voltage-sensor segment, it does not form a functional ion channel and its precise role remains unclear. The protein undergoes both rapid and slow structural rearrangements in response to changes in voltage, and contains a zinc-binding site that can regulate the slow conformational transition.
