Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (69%), Rat (69%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-140325 (PA5-140325. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
EPPIN-WFDC6 is a gene located on chromosome 20, resulting from read-through transcription between the SPINLW1 and WFDC6 genes. This gene encodes a fusion protein that exhibits functions related to both its parent genes. Structurally, EPPIN-WFDC6 includes elements from the WFDC6 gene, such as a WAP-type four-disulfide core domain, which is associated with antiprotease activity. This gene is notably expressed in the male reproductive system, particularly in the epididymis and seminal vesicles, where it plays a crucial role in sperm maturation and protection. EPPIN-WFDC6 is also involved in the regulation of proteolytic processes essential for reproductive function.
