Invitrogen™ Human GALNT5 (aa 212-354) Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (56%), Rat (56%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-52635 (PA5-52635. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
GALNT5 can catalyze the initial reaction in O-linked oligosaccharide biosynthesis, the transfer of an N-acetyl-D-galactosamine residue to a serine or threonine residue on the protein receptor. GALNT5 has activity toward EA2 peptide substrate, but it has a weak activity toward Muc2 or Muc1b substrates.
