Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (92%), Rat (92%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-62426 (PA5-62426. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

GPT and GPT2 (EC 2.6.1.2), also known as alanine transaminases, are pyridoxal enzymes that catalyze the reversible transamination between alanine and 2-oxoglutarate to form pyruvate and glutamate. By mediating the conversion of these 4 major intermediate metabolites, these transaminases have roles in gluconeogenesis and in amino acid metabolism.
