Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (99%), Rat (99%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-51792 (PA5-51792. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

The Ragulator complex is comprised of three proteins, C11orf59, ROBLD3, and MAPKSP1, which targets mTORC1 to lysosomal surfaces. This normal endosomal trafficking is taken advantage of by certain viruses, including coronavirus, which has increased replication when C11orf59 is interfered with. C11orf59 is positively regulated by cellular cholesterol depletion and negatively regulated by cellular cholesterol loading. It is involved in LDL uptake and cholesterol homeostasis. C11orf59 and PPAR-alpha work together to control lipid and carbohydrate metabolism in diabetes. Nearly all effects of C11orf59 are associated with mTORC1 kinase growth promotion, and disregulation of the normal mTOR pathway.
