Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (28%), Rat (28%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-140317 (PA5-140317. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

PRY2 (PTPN13 Like Y-Linked 2) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with PRY2 include Spermatogenic Failure, Y-Linked, 2 and Y Chromosome Infertility. An important paralog of this gene is PRYP3. This gene is located in the nonrecombining portion of the Y chromosome, and expressed specifically in testis. It encodes a protein which has a low degree of similarity to protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type 13. Two nearly identical copies of this gene exist within a palindromic region. This record represents the more centromeric copy.
