Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (71%), Rat (71%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-54812 (PA5-54812. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

The DNA replication (origin) licensing system is necessary for duplicating the genome in each cell cycle. Geminin is a protein that prevents DNA replication by blocking the MCM complex incorporation into prereplication complex (pre-RC). It is absent during G1 phase and accumulates during S, G2, and M phases of mitosis. It is then degraded during the metaphase-anaphase trasition allowing replication to occur during subsequent cycles. Geminin has also been implicated in maintaining integrity of the male germline genome.
