Description
AA Sequence of recombinant protein: MLRRCLISTD MHHIEESFQE IKRAIQAKDT FPNVTILSTL ETLQIIKPLD VCCVTKNLLA FYVDRVFKDH QEPNPKILRK ISSIANSFLY MQKTLRQCQE QRQCHCRQEA TNATRVIHDN YDQLEVHAAA IKSLGELDVF LAWINKNHEV MSSA. Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-19. Anti-Human IL-19-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human IL-19 matrix. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human IL-19 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human IL-19 (500-P189Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human IL-19. Western Blot: To detect Human IL-19 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Human IL-19 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the IL10 cytokine subfamily. This cytokine is found to be preferentially expressed in monocytes. It can bind the IL20 receptor complex and lead to the activation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). A similar cytokine in mouse is reported to up-regulate the expression of IL6 and TNF-alpha and induce apoptosis, which suggests a role of this cytokine in inflammatory responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the distinct isoforms have been described.Specifications
