Following downstream purification (e.g., using the 6100 PrepStation), intact RNA can be isolated that is free of contaminating protein and metal ions. Total RNA Lysis solution is the recommended reagent for the Total RNA Isolation Chemistry System for the ABI PRISM™ 6100 Nucleic Acid PrepStation.
