Low-profile, light-duty fume hoods provide close observation of procedures. Labconco™ Protector™ Demonstration Hood designed to provide 360° of close observation of procedures during educational demonstrations.

  • Deep 58.4cm (23 in.) interior that easily accommodates variety of apparatus
  • Patented Clean-Sweep™ air foil allows air to sweep work surface for maximum containment
  • Upper containment sash foil bleeds air into enclosure to direct concentrations of contaminants away from operator's breathing zone
  • Upper dilution air supply introduces room air at top of sash to dilute concentrations in upper chamber and bathes back of sash with clean air
  • Clear rear baffle directs air streams to back of the interior for removal through exhaust
  • Baffle may be pivoted downward for cleaning
  • Side-entry air foils allow air to sweep across interior glass surfaces to enhance containment
  • Sturdy glacier white and gray powder-coated aluminum frame
  • Tempered safety glass front sash, sides, rear baffle and top offer 360° visibility, ambient light and protection. Glass provides better fire, scratch and corrosion resistance than acrylic
  • Sash opening 20.3cm (8 in.) high limits exhaust demand, conserves costly tempered room air and requires smaller remote blower than most fume hoods
  • Tall models, 81.2cm (32 in.) high, have a 25.4cm (10 in.) high sash opening
  • Ergonomic angled sash allows closer view, reduces glare and provides more comfortable operating position than vertical sashes
  • High models 57.9cm (22.8 in.) have 20° angle; 81.2cm (32 in.) high models have 14° angle.
  • Hinged sash pivots upward and locks to loading height of 48.2 or 70.3cm (19 in. or 27.7 in.) depending on model
  • Lower exhaust tissue screen
  • Two utility ports with iris openings allow passage of tubing, electrical cords and interface cables from inside to back exterior for connection to services
  • Flexible exhaust options. 5.08 x 25.4cm (2 x 10 in.) rectangular exhaust collars on top and bottom to connect to ductwork for exhausting to outside or to a FilterMate
  • Portable Exhauster for filtered removal of fumes and/or particulates
  • Bottom exhaust collar keeps ductwork hidden, maximizing room visibility
  • Connection to remote blower, house exhaust or FilterMate Portable Exhauster, work surface and supporting base are required (each sold separately)
