Description

Description

Alexa Fluor™ Plus recombinant antibodies are conjugated using new, proprietary dye chemistry so you can generate stunning data. Alexa Fluor™ Plus antibodies represent an advancement in fluorescent conjugate technology. Alexa Fluor™ Plus antibodies provide brighter signal compared to leading Alexa Fluor™ antibodies, providing you with better signal-to-noise for your critical experiments. These antibodies show better specificity and lot-to-lot consistency as these are recombinant antibodies, generated by cloning specific genes for the desired antibodies into an expression vector and expressed in vitro. Using conjugate solutions: Centrifuge the protein conjugate solution briefly in a microcentrifuge before use; add only the supernatant to the experiment. This step will help eliminate any protein aggregates that may have formed during storage, thereby reducing nonspecific background staining. Applications Tested: This 702747RP647 antibody (4H18L6) has been tested by western blot and immunocytochemistry analysis of PC-3 cells. This may be used for immunocytochemistry at 5 μg/mL and for western blotting at less than or equal to 1.25 μg/mL. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Excitation: 658 nm; Emission: 675 nm; Laser: Red Laser Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.

Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) is the enzyme in the glycolytic pathway that converts pyruvate to lactate with concomitant interconversion of NADH and NAD+. In mammals, the enzyme is encoded by three genes: LDHA (M or muscle form), LDHB (H or heart form), and LDHC (X or testis form). The three human LDHs have 84-89% sequence similarities and 69-75% amino acid identities. There are five different LDH isoenzymes based on the proportion of M and H chains existing in the LDH tetrameric structure. The LDHA is hypoxia inducible and its expression is directly controlled by the transcriptional activity of the hypoxia inducible factor 1a (HIF1a). LDHB is also known to be upregulated in many cancers. Mutations in the LDHA gene can lead to Glycogen storage disease 11 (GSD11).
