Description

Description

Description: The A4 monoclonal antibody reacts with the class I human leukocyte antigen (HLA) complex in the absence of beta2 microglobulin. There are three class I alpha-chain genes in humans, called HLA-A, -B and -C. Normally, HLA class I proteins are associated non-covalently with beta2 microglobulin (beta2M). The function of the HLA class I complex is to present peptides derived from intracellular pathogens, including viral pathogens, on the cell surface to antigen specific CD8+ cytotoxic T cells. Class I HLA is expressed by the majority of nucleated cells. Applications Reported: This A4 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This A4 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of stimulated normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at 5 μL (0.125 μg) per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Excitation: 633-647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.

HLA and MHC antibodies play a significant role in Immunopeptidomics, facilitating the identification and characterization of neoantigens through high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem Mass Spectrometry.
