Use these sealing caps to ensure leakproof service of centrifuge bottles at their recommended maximum rated speeds.

Ensure leakproof† service of Thermo Scientific™ Nalgene™ centrifuge bottles at their recommended maximum rated speeds by using Nalgene Sealing Caps for Oak Ridge Centrifuge Tubes. They are also recommended for use when spinning hazardous materials.

Compatibility:

  • DS3132-0058: for use with Nalgene Centrifuge Bottles 3140-0250 and 3140-0250
  • DS3132-0063: ror use with Nalgene Centrifuge Bottles 3140-0500, 3141-0500, 3120-1000, 3120-1010, 3122-1000 and 3122-1010
  • DS3132-0020: for use with Nalgene Oakridge tubes, 28ml and 30ml volumes
  • DS3132-0024: for use with Nalgene Oakridge tubes, 35ml and 50ml volumes

Note:

Before autoclaving, set closure on top of the container without engaging the threads.

† The term leakproof applies to Thermo Scientific Nalgene products that meet the following criteria: a) Bottle/flask/funnel closure systems with closures smaller than 100mm, after they are filled with water, inverted, withstand air pressure of 2psig for 2 minutes, and no water escapes;. b) Bottle/funnel/flask closure systems of larger than 100mm after they are filled with water, inverted for 15 minutes, and no water escapes. Note: these tests, using other liquids, may not yield the same results. To ensure safe usage, customers are advised to test Thermo Scientific Nalgene bottles and closures under conditions of their planned applications. Thermo Scientific Nalgene products are leakproof at ambient temperature and pressure when used with their Nalgene closures.
