Rabbit Recombinant Superclonal Secondary Antibody

The sensitivity and specificity of each lot is confirmed using Immunocytochemistry. Minimal cross-reactivity with goat, rat, human, bovine, guinea pig, and donkey IgG is observed. Recombinant rabbit polyclonal antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They are comprised of a selection of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing the best of both worlds - the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies - all delivered with the consistency only found in a recombinant antibody. While functionally the same as a polyclonal antibody - recognizing multiple epitope sites on the target and producing higher detection sensitivity for low abundance targets - a recombinant rabbit polyclonal antibody has a known mixture of light and heavy chains. The exact population can be produced in every lot, circumventing the biological variability typically associated with polyclonal antibody production.

Anti-Mouse secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for mouse immunoglobulins and are useful in the detection, sorting or purification of its specified target. Secondary antibodies offer increased versatility enabling users to use many detection systems (e.g. HRP, AP, fluorescence). They can also provide greater sensitivity through signal amplification as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody. Most commonly, secondary antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with a pooled population of immunoglobulins from the target species and can be further purified and modified (i.e. immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation, etc.) to generate highly specific reagents.
