Rat Monoclonal Isotype Control

Description: The monoclonal rat IgG1, kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin. Applications Reported: This eBRG1 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This eBRG1 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells. This should be used at the same concentration as experimental antibody. Alexa Fluor® 700 emits at 723 nm and can be excited with the red laser (633 nm). Most instruments will require a 685 LP mirror and 710/20 filter. Please make sure that your instrument is capable of detecting this fluorochrome. Excitation: 633-647 nm; Emission: 723 nm; Laser: Red Laser. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.

Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies that are commonly used in research and diagnostics. These antibodies are produced by rats in response to an antigen and can be purified from serum or hybridoma cell culture supernatants. Rat IgG1 is often used as a negative control in experiments, as it does not bind to many mammalian antigens. It is also used in immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting to detect specific antigens. Gene targeting is a powerful tool used to manipulate the rat genome and generate animal models for studying human diseases. With gene targeting, specific genes can be knocked out, inserted, or modified to investigate their role in disease pathogenesis.
