Invitrogen™ Salinomycin Monoclonal Antibody (4F7)

Description
Antibody tested in indirect ELISA.
Salinomycin is a polyether antibiotic that has been found to have potent anticancer properties, particularly against cancer stem cells. It was first isolated from Streptomyces albus in the late 1970s and works by binding to and inhibiting the activity of ATP synthase, a protein involved in cellular energy production. This disruption of energy production leads to cell death in cancer cells, while sparing normal cells. Salinomycin also has antibacterial and antifungal properties, making it a promising candidate for the development of new antibiotics.
