SPEX™ Silicon Nitride Ball is a replacement ball for use with 8008 Silicon Nitride Grinding Vial Set.

  • Extremely high resistance to abrasion and very long-wearing due to superior hardness
  • Moderate efficiency but very low levels of contamination
  • Typical composition: Major Elements – Si; Minor Elements – Y, Al, Fe, Ca
  • Hardness: Mohs: 8 1/2 + Knoop 1600
