Description
Programmed cell death 1 (PDCD1) recombinant human protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. This protein is suitable for use in protein studies such as protein structure analysis and protein-protein interactions. In general, recombinant proteins can also be used as an immunogen, as a protein standard, or in cell biology research applications. Background: Programmed Cell Death 1 is a type I transmembrane immunoreceptor and belongs to the CD28 immunoglobulin superfamily that mediates immune responses. PD1 is expressed on activated T-cells, B-cells, myeloid cells and a subset of thymocytes. PD1 inhibits the T-cell proliferation and production of related cytokines including IL-1, IL-4, IL-10 and IFN-γ by suppressing the activation and transduction of PI3K/AKT pathway. In addition, coligation of PD1 inhibits BCR-mediating signal by dephosphorylating key signal transducer. PD1 has been suggested to be involved in lymphocyte clonal selection and peripheral tolerance, and thus contributes to the prevention of autoimmune diseases. Furthermore, PD1 is shown to be a regulator of virus-specific CD8+ T cell survival in HIV infection.
- N-terminal Sequence Analysis: Leu25
- Activity: measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA; immobilized human PDCD1 at 10μg/mL (100μL/well) has been shown to bind recombinant human CD274-Fc chimera with a linear range of 0.02-0.4μg/mL
- Formulation: lyophilized in 20mM Tris, 500mM NaCl, 500mM imidazole, pH 7.4, 5% mannitol, 5% trehalose, 0.02% Tween™-80
- Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double-distilled water to a concentration of 0.2mg/mL or lower; aliquot and use as soon as possible
Manufactured by Sino Biological (China).
