Description

Cdk inhibitor; potently inhibits cdk2, cdk7 and cdk9

Cyclin dependent kinase (cdk) inhibitor (reported IC50 values are 0.004 - 0.048, 0.0045 - 0.05, 0.062 - 0.29, 0.2-0.48, 0.4 and 0.45 μM for cdk9, cdk2, cdk7, cdk1, cdk5 and cdk4, respectively). Displays no activity against 190 additional kinases (IC50 >1 μM). Arrests the cell cycle at G2/M; inhibits transcription, proliferation and colony formation, and induces apoptosis in RPMI-8226 multiple myeloma cells. Prevents tumor cell-induced VEGF secretion and in vitro angiogenesis.
