Description

Specifically designed to directly measure soil conductivity and temperature. Hanna Instruments™ Soil Test™ Direct Soil EC/Temperature Tester is a compact pocket tester with single button operation and automatic calibration for environmental and agricultural testing.

Bulk electrical conductivity of soil measures the total conductivity, which includes the EC of the soil, air, and moisture in the sample. All these things carry charged ions that would read as EC. This reading is very useful; you can calculate your pore water conductivity and saturated extract conductivity from the result.

  • Stainless Steel Penetration Electrode: Allows for direct measurement in soil, without the need for a soil slurry
  • Automatic Temperature Compensatation: Integrated temperature sensor uses a fixed 2%/°C temperature correction coefficient
  • One-Point Calibration: Automatic calibration to 1413μS/cm conductivity standard
