PA1-10882 detects SOX6 in human and mouse samples. This antibody is predicted to recognize rat and chimapanzee SOX6 based on 100% sequence homology. PA1-10882 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. PA1-10882 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 780-796 of human and mouse SOX6.

The SOX6 gene encodes a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors, which are known to play vital roles in the regulation of developmental processes and cell fate determination. SOX6, along with its close relatives SOX5 and SOX13, constitutes the SOXD subfamily, which is involved in the regulation of the development of the central nervous system, skeletal system, and cartilage.
