TUBA1B and TUBA4A are genes that encode for alpha-tubulin isoforms, essential components of the microtubule system that plays a critical role in maintaining cell structure, intracellular transport, and cell division. TUBA1B, also known as tubulin alpha-1b chain, is located on chromosome 12q13.12 and has been linked to various cancers due to its influence on microtubule dynamics and cellular proliferation.
