This gene encodes a protein with an N-terminal thioredoxin domain and three C-terminal nucleoside diphosphate kinase (NDK) domains, but the NDK domains are thought to be catalytically inactive. Mutations in this gene are implicated in primary ciliary dyskinesia type 6.
