Built-in safety shield is aligned with the bevel of the needle. BD Vacutainer™ Eclipse™ Blood Collection Needle has a safety shield that permanently locks into place, significantly reducing the risk of needle stick injuries.

The BD Vacutainer™ system is a closed system optimally designed and tested for controlling pre-analytical variability throughout the specimen collection and handling process.

The BD Vacutainer™ Eclipse™ Blood Collection Needle for venous blood sampling has a fully integrated safety shield over the needle, which once activated protects against needle stick injuries.

  • Safety shield is an integral part of the needle and is aligned to the needle bevel
  • Safety shield engages over the needle with an audible click, irreversibly locking with a triple closure mechanism
