Invitrogen™ Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis Virus NSP1 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (HL1593)
Description
Store as concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening vial.
Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus (VEEV) is a member of genus Alphavirus in the family Togaviridae VEEV encodes four nonstructural proteins (nsP1, nsP2, nsP3 and nsP4) and five structural proteins (capsid (C), envelope (E) 3, E2, 6k, and E1) The Nsp1 gene of VEEV contains a 51-nt conserved sequence element (CSE) that is essential for virus replication Mutation or deletion of CSE results in loss of infectivity of VEEV, probably due to inefficient recognition of the viral RNA core promoter element by the virus replication complex Nsp1 functions as a methyltransferase and guanylylation enzyme, two properties needed for the 5' capping of VEEV genomic RNA [PMID: 30781656].
