Vincamine is a peripheral vasodilator and exerts a selective vasoregulator action on the brain microcapilar circulation. Vincamine is a GPR40 agonist and acts as a β-cell protector by ameliorating β-cell dysfunction and promoting glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS).
